Times are changing in Germany for Muslims as a recent poll conducted by Bild newspaper together with research institute INS reveal that a staggering 60% of Germans do not want Islam to be a part of Germany, whilst 22% voted that Islam did have a place in Germany. This is a drastic change from the same poll which occurred a year earlier in January where 37% of people voted that Islam does have a place in the country.
AfD(Alternative für Deutschland) Far Right party earlier in the week released their new manifesto claiming they would ban burkas and stated Islam has 'no place in Germany'. The poll results and AfD's manifesto has had a staggering blow to Germany's Muslims population, revealing the strains of the relationship between Immigrant Muslims and White Germans.

The recent revelations have been upsetting for German Muslims there is still light at the end of the tunnel. Almost half of German's claimed they had no issue living side by side with Muslims's showing a growing trust between the two communities but 30% percent of those who voted stated they did not fell comfortable living alongside Muslims.
