The VUC Lyngby school, an adult education centre based in Northern Copenhagen, Amsterdam has banned 6 of its students from attending lessons.
The school implemented a new rule on students covering their face in November 2015. The school issued a message on Facebook regarding the matter it stated "Free and unhindered communication requires that we can see each other's face. This is why it is not permissible to cover eyes, nose and mouth during participation in education. Everyone should show their face together with id at the registration and student at graduation."

The school has stated that their new policy was not religiously motivated but a matter of the ability to communicate with one another, reported by the Copenhagen Post.
The banned students have been offered to carry on their learning via e-learning.
