At Approximately 12:40 am on Wednesday 2nd October Al-Amin Center in Boynton Beach, Florida was struck by vandals.
The words "F**K ISIS" was spray painted in black on one side of the sign bearing the mosques name and on the other sign the phrase "F**K ISLAM" in large capital letters.
Muslims attending the mosque for morning prayer noticed the graffiti on their local community mosque. the vandalism wa reported to the police, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.
The above video shows the vehicle which was used in the spray painting incident can be seen in the top right hand corner pulling up to the sign of the mosque at 07:06. The offender can be seen spray painting the words at the 07:55 mark in the above video.
Wilfredo Amr Ruiz, CAIR-Florida Communications Director, said in a press release, "Our community continues to suffer from an increase in hate crimes and hate incidents. We still have fresh in our memories the recent hate crime committed at the Islamic Center of Ft. Pierce that was attacked by an arsonist. The hate speech and rhetoric that has come along this presidential campaign is fueling this type of crime that endangers not only the Muslim community but the Florida community in general,"
CAIR are calling for a hate-crime investigation.
