
The 2016 Muslim Lifestyle Expo just happened on the weekend from Saturday 29th to Sunday 30th October. The two-day event took place at EventCity in Manchester, England and featured over 100 exhibitors from a number of departments including fashion, food & drink, travel, media, Islamic finance, and health & beauty.
The exhibition was separated into a number of zones, the main areas being Fashion Show; catwalk exhibiting the latest designs in modest clothing, Islamic Arts Gallery; a showcase of the best of contemporary art from artists across Europe, Health Zone; area providing free health consultation, education and lifestyle advice, Food Quarter; food from popular eatery MyLahore, Live Cookery Theatre; demonstrating a variety of recipes as well as butchery.

the expo held seminars throughout the weekend holding discussions on various subjects. The seminars were conducted by a number of Muslim personalities such as Blogger Elena Nikolova from MuslimTravelGirl.com, Tech Geek & Entrepreneur Abdul Alim and Mentor to FTSE100 Leaders Moe Nawaz.

The expo highlighted the growing number of Muslim 'Mumpreneurs'. the term mumpreneur is used to describe women who were formally stay-at-home mums or women who gave up successful careers to start a business. Mumpreneurs who made an appearance at the event was Saba Zaman; Panel Moderator Radio Producer & Broadcast Journalist, Zukreat Nazar; Leading celebrity makeup artist, Founder & CEO of ‘Artist of Makeup’ Cosmetics and Nazia Nasreen Founder and CEO of Ibraheem Toy House.
The Muslim Lifestyle Expo was a great assortment of successful of Muslim companies as well as an appreciable platform for growing halal businesses, looking forward to next year.
